A Bit About My Experience and How it Helps Me Help You
While dedication to a single path is valuable for some, flexibility and a variety of interests gives a writer an undeniable edge.
I began my career as a research editor for a B2B publication before becoming a certified teacher in my home state of New Jersey.
After a few years, I returned to school to study foods and nutrition, earning credentials from the American Dietetic Association. As a nutritionist for a busy health club, I helped people reach their weight loss goals with a healthy diet.
Near the end of my teaching career, I sold a short story to a children’s magazine, and my freelance career was born. A more recent personal writing project is my book, Yoga Circles, a guide I created for my yoga community. I also wrote a no-nonsense guide to weight loss that presents science and data (“the math”) in a manner accessible to anyone.
My north star is my belief that we are all connected, and I’ve been interested in metaphysical matters for most of my life. I’ve studied Eastern and Western ideas and began practicing yoga decades ago. In 2020, I became a certified yoga teacher.
Learning to see things from a broad perspective has made me a better writer and editor. It will help me shift my thinking when I need to so we can tell your story with engaging authenticity.
